Property Casualty Operations Data Analyst--- Power BI Specialist

**This position will be filled at the appropriate level based on experience**

Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking an innovative and motivated professional to join a collaborative team that uses data analytics to drive initiatives, develop strategy, and monitor results. This individual will develop and execute projects using statistical analysis, while also interpreting and quantifying results and performing ad hoc analysis to support key business decisions. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for design/creation of Power BI dashboards, excel expertise, and mining data for actionable insights to be used in driving business success.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and create Power BI dashboards that display results utilized across the company.
  • Review and improve current Power BI dashboards
  • Leverage big data mining and analysis to provide business insight to support initiatives that maximize revenue and profitability
  • Utilize internal and external customer information to improve, standardize, and support future work processes
  • Interpret and quantify results by building databases that will assist with monitoring claims and underwriting results across the PC Company
  • Develop recommendations/solutions and present results to internal customers
  • Collaborate with internal PC Operations teams, as well as other key business partners
  • Manage a variety of projects and tasks simultaneously and deliver solutions on time and within requirements

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • College degree (Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, or Business preferred) or equivalent plus one year relevant experience required. Data research and analysis experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and Power BI
  • Ability to merge and analyze data from various sources and of differing formats
  • Must have strong analytical and logical skills and be able to learn/apply new software and capture, analyze and synthesize data and report results
  • Self-starter who will take initiative and find innovative solutions to achieve business objectives
  • Must have problem solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic Insurance knowledge is preferred but not required.
