Job Description


Responsibilities include creating and distributing (both standardized and specialized) routine reports, ad-hoc reports, and reporting requested by Senior Management. The Business Operations Analyst will also monitor data to detect any adverse trends, while making recommendations and Presenting to Senior and Executive Management. She/He will create documentation for improving existing processes and procedures and complete audits and quality control functions for New Business, Underwriting, and Customer Service for all Globe Life Family of Companies.


  • Identify opportunities to utilize data analytics (SQL, MS Excel, and other data mining tools) to monitor, extract and evaluate data.
  • Improving upon and streamlining existing data storage and reporting processes.
  • Create/Modify SQL queries
  • Utilize Speech Analytics tools to recommend operational improvements
  • Assist in performing quality assurance and testing when implementing new processes/procedures/systems
  • Identify and improve departmental inefficiencies
  • Track and analyze department results and trends
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Create and present reports to senior and executive management
  • Leading, collaborating, and executing projects within cross functional teams.

Required Skills:


  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Experience working with R, Python, or other Data Cleaning Language
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Manage details and execute effective follow through
  • Ability to multi-task is a must
  • Experience working in both individual and team environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Some travel may be required

Required Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree Required with an emphasis in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or Audit
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in a business analysis, process improvement, audit, or other related field
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to develop, document, and maintain operational policies and procedures including designing and documenting detailed process flows and the development of operational performance and quality metric standards and reports
  • Knowledge of Speech Analytics is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications specifically Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
