Pharmacists Mutual has an opening for an Operations Associate. This position assists the Underwriting Team through the use of technical skills by providing a broad range of administrative duties and support functions.
Operations Associate I
- Supports the underwriting process through data entry, policy processing and other tasks as assigned.
- Has a broad understanding of the underwriting workflow and the software systems.
- Processes basic premium audits.
- Ability to recognize system irregularities.
Operations Associate II
- Demonstrates a history of high quality work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and test any system enhancements or fixes.
- Processes intermediate premium audits.
- Assists in customer service phone calls.
- Provides administrative support to the underwriting team in areas of documentation, report management and vendor management.
Senior Operations Associate
- Demonstrates a history of high quality work and is capable of being a lead-by-example contributor to the team, including mentoring team members as assigned.
- Assist Underwriting management with analysis, resolution and management of multifaceted matters as assigned
- Executes and coordinates system testing between Underwriting and IT.
- Processes advanced premium audits, including audit dispute resolution.
- Undertakes special projects and assignments contributing to ongoing improvements in the audit process and further enhances the overall customer experience.
- This position includes the roles of trainer and systems coordinator for the Underwriting team.
Essential Functions
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures data quality and accuracy, timely data entry, and policy processing.
- Understands the software data fields and is capable of interpreting and transferring information from applications, etc. to the corresponding data field.
- Provides timely and quality customer service.
- Attends and participates in appropriate meetings.
- Recognizes discrepancies and refers information back to appropriate teammate.
- Documents all transactions according to Company guidelines.
- Determines correct exposures and classifications for premium audits.

Experience and Education Qualifications
Operations Associate I
- High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of related experience; or
- Associate's Degree or equivalent
Operations Associate II
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience; or
- Associate's Degree or equivalent and 1 year of related experience
Senior Operations Associate
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of related experience; or
- Associate's Degree and 3 years of related experience; or
- Bachelor's Degree
