What You'll Do: As an Underwriting Customer Service Representative, you will provide quality service for the Utah Business Unit through prompt assistance and processing of personal lines underwriting tasks. You will assist with coverage, rating and billing processes on accounts through workflow, phone and e-mail. You will also assist in monitoring the shared e-mail box. In this role, it's important that you create and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, agents and client/members. You will be a resource for questions and assist with education and training as well. Flexibility is key, as you may have other duties and projects as assigned.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of relevant experience is required. Past insurance experience is preferred.
  • Must have basic math skills and ability to learn basic knowledge of insurance products.
  • Strong customer service skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and shift priorities to organize and process work with limited supervision under tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills are required to quickly learn our multiple systems, with the ability to navigate in and toggle between multiple systems and applications is required.
  • Progress towards industry education is expected.
