Overview
Chubb Kansas City is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Commercial Insurance Middle Market Underwriter. This underwriter will be responsible for producing up to $1,500,000 of new business and handling a renewal portfolio of up to $10m in premium. Industry Segments include Manufacturing, Wholesale, and Professional Services. Lines of business that would be underwritten include Property, Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation and Umbrella. Underwriter will be responsible for growing the Middle Market portfolio with Kanas City Branch appointed Agents and Brokers. The Kansas City territory includes the entire State of Kansas, Kansas City Metro and Southwest Missouri.
Commercial Insurance writes companies with revenues up to $1B, including both guaranteed cost and loss sensitive program structures. The position be charged with aggressively marketing to their assigned agency/broker plant to bring in opportunities and will work closely with the respective Commercial Insurance Manager, Industry Segment EFU’s and home office to position this portfolio within Commercial Insurance for growth and profit.
