Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Oversee the needs of the business-to-business referral partners and act as the primary point of contact between partners and VelaPoint. Implement new referral partners, the management and sales growth of existing referral partners and interfacing with each department (Sales, Finance, Customer Service, etc.) to meet the needs of partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboard new partners - establish telephony and online referral resources, facilitate execution of contracts and other documents, ensure partner statements and payments are created and paid
  • Maintain existing partner relationships through ongoing support, regular meetings and off-site travel
  • Facilitate partner growth through marketing, adding new referral sources under partner relationship and general relationship growth
  • Identify and solve partner issues and needs in a timely and independent method
  • Work with each department at VelaPoint to represent the needs of partners, keeping in mind the needs and goals of VelaPoint

  • Bachelor's Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
  • Business-to-business sales and presentation
  • Relationship management
  • Must be flexible, creative and willing to be objective in decision - making
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to get things done in a complex, rapidly changing environment with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take direction from multiple people and successfully prioritize competing priorities
  • Must be able and willing to travel 10+ % of the time

Desired Skills:

  • A&H Sales - Health and Life license or ability to acquire within 60 days of hire
  • 3+ years of experience in account management and/or insurance sales
