Our Lincoln, RI office is seeking IT interns to support our development teams. This role is located in our Lincoln, RI office, and will be eligible for two remote work days per week.
Form changes and programming updates within our applications.
Monthly maintenance work in applications using Java 8, as well as scripting languages.
Research and assistance with transitioning to a new software tool for document creation.
Work on coding to support user stories or to resolve testing bugs.
Collaborate with Business subject matter experts to understand requirements for user stories/bugs.
Run SQL queries to gather data/information.
Enrolled in an IT Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university.
A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Desire to work in a technical field.
Understating of object-oriented programming languages.
Knowledge and experience in Java, Java 8 preferred.
Python experience is a plus.
Experience in JIRA and Microsoft Office products is a plus – preferably Word and Excel.
Good attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be well-organized and have the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Able to complete routine tasks independently over time. This includes gaining the functional, technical and problem-solving skills needed to complete assignments
