Job Description

  • Journal entry preparation.
  • Journal entry input to General Ledger.
  • Analyze, check and research all accounts in General Ledger
  • Perform claims / pension reconciliations and claims analysis.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare receivable analysis and related journal entries.
  • Prepare year end accrual expenses
  • Preparation of general expense requisitions as required
  • Prepare periodic management reports.
  • Other general accounting duties as may be required.
  • Assist with yearend audit request from fund auditors
  • Prepare cash receipts & cash disbursements summary
  • Prepares and files monthly  and  quarterly Payroll State Withholding Tax Returns
  • Help with the year-end  reconciliation filing submission to the IRS and State for Forms 1099-R and W-2’s;
  • Running weekly reports  to remit federal and state withholdings.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of federal and state withholding tax liability

Job Requirements:
  • 4 year degree in accounting
  • 2 years prior experience
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Mainframe General Ledger.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and high degree of initiative.
  • Must be multi-tasked oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle system.
