Job Description
- Journal entry preparation.
- Journal entry input to General Ledger.
- Analyze, check and research all accounts in General Ledger
- Perform claims / pension reconciliations and claims analysis.
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Prepare receivable analysis and related journal entries.
- Prepare year end accrual expenses
- Preparation of general expense requisitions as required
- Prepare periodic management reports.
- Other general accounting duties as may be required.
- Assist with yearend audit request from fund auditors
- Prepare cash receipts & cash disbursements summary
- Prepares and files monthly and quarterly Payroll State Withholding Tax Returns
- Help with the year-end reconciliation filing submission to the IRS and State for Forms 1099-R and W-2’s;
- Running weekly reports to remit federal and state withholdings.
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of federal and state withholding tax liability
Job Requirements:- 4 year degree in accounting
- 2 years prior experience
- Knowledge of Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Mainframe General Ledger.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and high degree of initiative.
- Must be multi-tasked oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Oracle system.
