Our Accounting department is seeking a Senior or Lead Financial Planning Analyst to support corporate planning and forecasting efforts. The ideal candidate will be able to manage and analyze financial data, identify and model trends, and draw reasonable conclusions with respect to the findings. This position will work with key stakeholders within the organization to document and model business processes and analyze their financial outcomes.

 Responsibilities

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial data
  • Build proficiency with existing Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems
  • Collaborate with Finance staff to translate business requirements into executable financial models within the existing EPM framework
  • Update and maintain allocations used in the month-end close as well as planning and forecasting process
  • Documentation and analysis of planning and forecasting procedures to optimize workflows
  • Partner with business units to plan and analyze process improvements, strategic projects and ongoing initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Mathematics or related field of study
  • Minimum four years’ experience
  • Experience in FP&A role strongly preferred
  • Proficient mathematics background with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Solid computer skills, most importantly Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn new software tools as needed
  • Understanding of SQL and basic coding concepts strongly preferred
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently or in a team setting
  • Good written and verbal communication; can network well with others across the department and organization
  • Inquisitive and detail-oriented with strong research, organizational and time management skills
