As a valued intern on our Product Liability Underwriting team, you will gain experience with and exposure to Underwriting tasks such as the following Key Accountabilities:
Correspondence with brokers, vendors, underwriting team
Preparation of accounts for modeling
Drafting quotes and binders
Post-binding account changes/ transactions
Policy issuance including correspondence to drafting team and broker to ensure policy is issued per binder.
Endorsement processing and issuance
Inspection processing
Accurate and timely status of accounts within systems throughout the underwriting life cycle
Operation of internal controls and timely closure of Internal Audit and other actions
General office administrative duties as and when required.
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Insurance Risk Management, Finance or Business
Pro-active and driven to learn.
Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Highly organized with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Able to work easily with cross-functional teams.
Able to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.
Experience:
Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Insurance Risk Management, Finance or Business
Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
