Job Description

The Claims Assistant is responsible for a variety of tasks in providing administrative support and assistance to the Risk Management Claim Team, including mail processing and providing back-up phone coverage for the claim team and Risk Management Department as a whole.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide general administrative support to the Risk Management Claim Team.
  • Complete claim notifications for auto, general liability, property, and team member injury claims.
  • Provide basic direction to field management regarding accident/injury processes and procedures.
  • Preparing and sending property and auto physical damage subrogation demands to 3rd party insurance carriers.
  • Mail processing for the Risk Management Department.  

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Proficient with computers and general office equipment.
