Here’s Where You Come In
The Closing Specialist is responsible for issuing new policies ensuring accuracy and adhesion to agency standards. In this role, the CS will generate and retain all appropriate forms and applications required for new business, and perform all post sale duties ensuring underwriting requests are fulfilled on schedule.
Issues and binds all policies sold by the agency, including rewrites.
Updates the Client status from ‘Prospective’ to ‘Contracted’ in EPIC.
Delivers insurance documents related to new business policies, to all parties involved in the transaction.
Sends the onboarding email to new Clients on behalf of Sales Executives.
Completes all underwriting stipulations and memos required for new business. Works in partnership with Sales Executives as a resource to clarify and complete stipulations.
Manages policy downloads and collaborates with Shared Resources Team to ensure that all active policies are correctly displayed in appropriate EPIC client files.
Obtains cancellation forms from the client for any remarketed policies and completes the process of cancelling the policy on the carrier site.
Uploads all signed applications and forms to EPIC client accounts, accompanied by detailed notes of the transaction.
Mails paper applications and forms to new business customers if e-signatures are not returned within 15 business days.
Tracks any recurring issues with new policies with the goal of providing feedback to leadership.
Audits client files for accuracy of documentation and consistency. (2 audits per Sales Executive, per month)
Actively seeks to improve efficiencies for Closing Specialist duties and daily tasks.
Actively seek continuous learning opportunities to grow knowledge of both role and the industry.

4 year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
General office experience
Previous experience within an insurance agency is highly preferred
Licensed insurance producer, or capable of obtaining license prior to start date
Department Account Management & Service
Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
