Zurich is currently searching for a Software Test Engineer II to work out of our Anoka/Thurston, MN office.
The Software Test Engineer II will be responsible for:
Gathering documents and converting a variety of system, business and data requirements into testing deliverables utilizing automated tools as appropriate
Producing Test Plan including agreed code drop schedule
Reviewing the test coverage and test cases produced by the Test Analysts and as appropriate conducting walkthroughs with respective Business Stakeholders
Tracking, control and resolution of testing issues and queries
Executing test cases as per the agreed testing plan, logging and retesting defects as necessary using the appropriate test tools
Assisting with Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting of defects
Testing data definitions
Ensuring test environments are set up and available
Work allocation and tracking progress for Test Analysts
Highlighting any Risks or Slippages to the Test Manager
Producing all test status and test summary reports
Conducting quality reviews of key testing deliverables including test scripts, test cases and test results
Chairs and participates in defect triage meetings and provide updates.
Signing-off completed test runs/cycles.
Supports Business Users training and training of other testers.
Collects test metrics.
Business Travel, as required
Extended Hours during Peak Periods/Shift Work/Holiday Work, as required
Regular Predictable Attendance
Visibility in the Office, as required
Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Systems Testing area
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Systems Testing area
Application testing experience across various hardware platforms and operating systems
Instructs, directs and verifies others' work as part of total quality assurance.
Builds good working relationships with Test Team, Stakeholders and Project Management.
Ability to produce and manage plans.
Ability to help keep team motivated in high pressure situations.
Insurance Domain Knowledge.
Experience in all areas of the testing life cycle.
Responds maturely to ambiguity and complexity.
Proposes solutions and maintains the focus on outcomes.
Automation knowledge (Cypress/SpecFlow) – Proficiency Level Intermediate or higher
