Job Description


  • Accountable for high standards of service and responsiveness to ensure fulfillment of external and internal client needs
    • Prioritizes internal or external customer requests and ensures appropriate resolution in a timely manner
    • Ensures customer resolution through collaboration with other areas as required
    • Engages with staff and departments through day-to-day interactions with team members
    • Maintains effective working relationships with clients, carriers and vendors

Job Requirements:
  • Responsible for developing and retaining business opportunities in the middle/large group employee benefit market
    • Assists in the development of sales and renewal strategies
    • Initiates contact with prospective clients to solicit relationship opportunities
    • Analyzes and markets employee benefits programs
    • Preparation of renewal and new business proposals, presentation materials and supporting documents as necessary (benefit and financial analysis)
    • Assists with experience and claims report preparation and analysis
  • Provides onsite/field sales assistance to Account Executive(s) or other subordinate sales/service team members
    • Engages with team members to handle complex sales and service matters in all areas, as needed
  • Effectively manages work flow for the client plan-year cycle
    • Assists with plan administration and problem resolution, when necessary
    • Conducts and coordinates client presentations, including assistance with open enrollment meetings, benefit fairs, renewals, coordination of presenters
    • Carries out other duties as required by clients, business needs or assigned by management
  • Performs carrier and vendor product review and analysis
    • Maintains broad knowledge base of Carrier and Vendor products and underwriting requirements, and updates staff as appropriate
  • Maintains a current working knowledge of industry legislative and compliance issues
    • Including but not limited to COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, etc
