National Cyber Risk Operations Leader
Accountable to: National Cyber Risk Leader
Summary: The National Cyber Risk Operations Leader provides leadership, extensive product knowledge and in working closely with MMA Cyber Regional Leaders, assisting the National Cyber Risk Leader in supporting the overall vision and executing on the key priorities and strategy of MMA’s National Cyber Center of Excellence (COE). Accountable for driving organic growth, this role works closely with the National Business Insurance Team and Regional leaders to support and contribute to cyber risk transfer best practices and proactively grow MMA’s cyber footprint.
In conjunction with the National Cyber Risk Leader, this role supports delivery of Cyber and Technology E&O resources to the regions in providing execution and implementation support. This role provides technical expertise, guidance and education to Cyber Regional Leaders, Executive Liability Practice (XLP) members and all colleagues. This role also collaborates with regional operations and sales leaders to continually enhance client experience and cyber risk transfer and management solutions.
Supports Leadership of National Cyber COE Practice
Works with National Cyber Risk Leader and Cyber Regional Leaders to provide technical guidance and support to MMA regional offices as it relates to creation and execution of National Cyber COE strategies & initiatives.
Supports and aids in the execution and maintenance of initiatives of National Cyber COE core pillars: Education, Insurance Solutions, Partnerships & Alliances, and Analytics.
Stays current on Cyber & Technology/Professional Liability trends and maintains industry knowledge in Cyber and Technology E&O risk.
Monitors competition and competitive challenges in the market to ensure MMA remains competitive and current in its product and service offerings.
Engages routinely, in support of the National Cyber Leader, with Marsh Cyber Leadership (including by not limited to Guy Carpenter, Oliver Wyman, Marsh Advisory) to ensure relevant cross-sell opportunities, communication strategies and deliverables for the SME/Middle Market marketplace.
Participate on National Cyber Center of Excellence (COE) team
Participate in strategic planning initiatives to contribute and support credible, effective, long-range strategy developed by the National Cyber COE.
Support annual budgets that reflect growth goals and business conditions and support strategic initiatives.
Participate in key carrier discussions to help in the effort to provide the best product and best value to MMA customers.
Speak at regional and national events as a subject matter expert as requested to support the growth of the MMA brand, and business goals.
Business development initiatives
Given the diversity of our Cyber Regional Leader structure, assist Regional Sales leaders and Cyber Regional Leaders with aggregated pre-qualification education and renewal marketing best practices as needed to support Cyber Regional Leader efforts.
Discuss marketing best practices to ensure market and carrier evolution is communicated with Cyber Regional Leaders and Regional Leaders to ensure consistency and industry relevance.
Assist in the development and communication of MMA differentiated insurance solutions to support our Industry COE’s and Cyber Regional Leaders.
Pursue opportunities to support the round out existing client programs with additional risk management solutions internally and externally, including engaging with National Complex Claims Leader and Cyber Claims Leader.
7+ year’s insurance experience including strong technical knowledge of Network Security/Privacy, Technology Professional & Miscellaneous Professional Liability lines of coverages; underwriting experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong business acumen and ability to lead others.
Must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills.
Prior success and experience in managing change in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with peers.
Technically proficient in Cyber/Tech E&O/Professional Liability policy forms, market dynamics and demonstrated relationships with carriers and product management .
Experience and willingness to speak publicly in various formats with clients, prospects, and colleagues to aid in education and thought leadership.
Servant and inspiring leadership style that complements MMA’s entrepreneurial regional culture.
Proactive and thoughtful approach and ability to work collaboratively with carriers.
Proficient in the use of MS Office software.
The following are highly preferred:
Advanced degree preferred, MBA, JD and other forms of a Master’s degree.
Network Security and/or Privacy designation(s) or certification(s) preferred.
A commitment to continued cyber education and training.
Option for remote working and/or location in an MMA office.
Up to 15-20% national travel required for meetings and events.
