Job Description


The Proof of Coverage Business Analyst is responsible for the reporting and correction of policy data to the various licensed rating organizations and federal/state agencies and Bureaus.  Need to interpret the requests and obtain the data to complete the required reports in a timely manner.  Interact with business segments such as underwriting and IT to complete work assignments.  Participates in process improvement efforts as needed as AmTrust continues to grow. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.


  • Files policy data in a timely and accurate manner preventing any penalties or fines.
  • Maintains a schedule of all required filings to insure timely filing and improve compliance with filing requirements.
  • Resolves criticisms involving policy reporting, experience modifications, classifications, and other similar subjects from external agencies, Departments of Insurance and miscellaneous bureaus.
  • Handles the correction of policy data that has been rejected by the licensed rating organization or bureau.
  • Responds to requests for data providing detailed policy information as per request.
  • Verifies accuracy of data. Requires familiarity with the data reporting requirements of State agencies and licensed rating organizations.
  • Build relationships with the licensed rating organizations, bureaus, and Department of Insurance offices to more effectively perform their assigned functions.
  • Keeps current with policy reporting rules and requirements.
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.



  • Bachelors Degree and/or 2-4 years related technical or underwriting experience in the insurance industry.
  • Working knowledge of Workers Compensation Insurance, particularly policy rating elements such as classifications, modifications, and rates.  
  • Demonstrated ability to complete reconciliations of data, the ability to trace reconciling items and identify cause and remedial action needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with a detail orientation.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.


  • Knowledge or experience in using NCCI or State Bureau data reporting systems.
  • Understanding of NCCI or State Bureau policy reporting requirements.
