Follows up with agent or broker for additional information, as necessary. Determines proper classification of risks and uses company software to rate risks. Identifies proper coverage structure for risk including any policy endorsements and exclusions required, develops proposed rating, and applies schedule credits/debits within company guidelines. Makes underwriting decisions on routine insurance risks and refers risks outside underwriting authority to appropriate referral underwriting resource, as appropriate.
