We are looking for bright and driven rising college seniors to join our summer Marketing Internship within the GEICO Marketing organization. You will help drive our brand work and our customer acquisition and engagement strategy. GEICO’s Marketing Internship places interns across the Marketing organization based on individual fit and interest. Upon acceptance into the program, you will be matched with one team as your main “home” for the 10-weeks, though it is possible that we will incorporate some cross-functional rotations on a project-basis to ensure breadth of experience.

  • Marketing Operations & Transformation 

How You’ll Make a Difference 

Marketing Foundations and Business Impact:  

  • Be introduced to GEICO’s Marketing organization, learning the tools, systems, and data we use to reach and engage customers 

  • Develop your analytical, project management, and communication skills, while building your marketing business acumen 

  • Directly impact GEICO’s brand, customer acquisition, and retention strategy – with opportunities to drive marketing innovation and transformation 

 

Hands-On Marketing Projects and Analytics:  

Work on meaningful marketing projects, attend meetings, and work alongside and give presentations to senior marketing leadership. Potential projects include:  

  • Creating presentationsproject plans, and strategies for key integrated marketing activations, like the NCAA tournaments, Football season, summer travel, local campaigns, and more 

  • Helping design creative assets for campaigns 

  • Conducting analyses on drivers of marketing performance across lines of business, marketing channels, and customer segments 

  • Building standardized reporting, dashboards, and applications to share data and insights across the organization  

  • Creating AI agents for documentation generation, problem-solving, and feature building 

  • Moving marketing audiences from code (SQL) to Hightouch (our visual audience building platform) 

Collaboration, Mentorship, and Professional Development:  

  • Develop influencing skills as you partner with cross-functional stakeholders to analyze results and inform investment decisions 

  • Receive mentoring and coaching from members of GEICO’s Marketing leadership team 

  • Participate in dedicated professional development and social events, fostering a community within your internship cohort and the broader Marketing organization, and accelerating your career through exposure to senior leaders 

  • Interact with associates at all levels of the Marketing organization – including our CMO! 

  • Complete an individual or group intern project that tests analysis, strategic thinking, cross-team collaboration, and storytelling skills 

What We’re Looking For 

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or other relevant major, with expected graduation between December 2027 and May 2028 

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please upload ALL transcripts as part of the application process) 

  • Coursework that combines left-and-right brain methodologies is great! 

  • Demonstrated interest in the marketing field through relevant internship experience, engaging in relevant student or business organizations, pursuing relevant certifications or coursework, or other meaningful engagement within the field 

  • Must live within commutable distance from our downtown New York City office at 300 Vesey Street and work a hybrid schedule, including working at least three days per week from the office. 

 

Core Skills: 

  • Experience with AI tools, including Claude Code, and agent creation  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with data or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Google Analytics, SQL, or similar) is a plus 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and ideas clearly to diverse audiences 

  • Ability to work independently given general direction and to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities, providing accurate and timely results 

  • Effective time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills 

 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Interest in financial services and / or insurance is nice to have 


 

Annual Salary

$26.46 - $41.21

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
