Supervisor, Payroll Services Support

Job Description

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor, Payroll Services Support. This role provides operational leadership and oversight of the Payroll Services Support team, ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and high-quality technical, servicing, and administrative support to Payroll Services Underwriting. Working closely with the AVP, Underwriting Services, the Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations, supports team performance, and ensures customer service, production, and quality objectives are consistently achieved. The role also drives process improvement and operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, create consistency, and implement solutions aligned with stakeholder priorities and business objectives.

 

Job responsibilities:

  • Monitor stakeholder support work effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.  Monitor quality assurance reviews to ensure proper protocols are followed and quality standards are met.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development of workflows, processes, training as well as setting and monitoring metrics to measure results.
  • Oversee the USRs and meet regularly to discuss results, workload priorities to ensure balance amongst the staff, and update workflow changes for the Payroll Services Underwriting team.
  • Regularly meeting with Underwriting to create a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop staff through effective coaching, industry knowledge transfer and mentoring to maximize individual employee contributions for achievement of personal and company goals.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and process efficiency while maintaining underwriting integrity and developing strong customer relationships.

 

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in related discipline, i.e., Marketing, Finance, or Business
  • Minimum of 4 years of P & C insurance industry experience with increasing responsibility and prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong ability and proven track record of continually seeking efficiency opportunities and build new processes to support the changing needs of the business that is supported.
  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead self and others through change.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles, rates, rules, forms, procedures, regulations, coverages and business processes preferred.
  • Excellent customer services and communication (verbal and written).
  • Analyze complex administrative or business problems, evaluate alternatives, and make appropriate recommendations
  • P&C Producer License Required

  • One of the following designations is highly desired: 

    • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
    • Associate In Risk Management (ARM)
    • Associate In Commercial Underwriting (AU)

  • Employees will accrue 0.0846 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) per paid hour, which may total 22 days a year. In addition, employees will also receive 10 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

 

Salary Range:

  • $85,000.00 - $88,000.00 annually
  • Compensation may vary depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
  • In addition to base salary, compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.
