  • Independently manage complex, high-exposure casualty claims involving historical CGL, umbrella, and excess liability policies.
  • Analyze historical policy language, underlying facts, applicable law, and long-latency exposures to determine coverage positions and claims strategy.
  • Manage legacy runoff claims arising primarily from policies issued during the 1970s through the mid-1980s.
  • Develop thoughtful, well-supported strategies for resolving complex coverage and liability issues.

Mass Tort & Environmental Claims

  • Develop and execute strategic action plans designed to move complex claims toward resolution.
  • Provide clear, well-supported analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Caseload & Operational Excellence

  • Independently manage a diverse portfolio of complex claims while maintaining accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Ensure claim files comply with applicable internal guidelines and standards.
  • Work effectively across multiple claims systems and adapt to evolving technology and AI-supported workflows.
  • Communicate complex coverage and claim issues clearly and effectively in both written and verbal settings.

What You Bring:

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience handling mass tort, asbestos, environmental, or other long-latency claims.
  • Casualty claims experience involving complex coverage analysis, excess liability policies, or legacy runoff portfolios strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing claims across multiple U.S. jurisdictions and/or Canada.
  • Experience with litigation, negotiation, mediation, arbitration, or complex claim resolution.

Skills & Capabilities
