Commercial Lines Coordinator

Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Coordinator to join our growing team in Greenville, South Carolina!

 

This role supports the Commercial Lines department while gaining hands-on technical knowledge of Brown & Brown’s processes and procedures. The position assists account managers with client service, policy processing, data entry, document management, and general clerical functions, with additional projects assigned as needed.

 

How You Will Contribute: 

 

  • Shadow account managers to learn the essential responsibilities, processes, and client service expectations of the role.
  • Process client requests promptly and confirm coverage with clients as needed.
  • Request and process endorsements with carriers, follow up through completion, confirm updates in AMS, and deliver documentation to insureds.
  • Assist with policy checking, policy delivery, premium collection, audits, AB invoices, and HUB procedures.
  • Support submissions and renewals by completing claims analysis, renewal updates, ACORD forms, supplemental applications, proposals, and account overviews.
  • Assist with loss runs, MVR orders, certificates of insurance, and evidence of property.
  • Observe and support the renewal process, including sending renewal quotes, requesting coverage to be bound, and completing closeout and bound-summary procedures.
  • Enter data into applications and review, file, and assign documents and tasks in ImageRight.
  • Access carrier websites to download policy documents and become familiar with the ICP team and related procedures.
  • Perform clerical duties, including scanning, proofreading, photocopying, and other special projects or assigned responsibilities.

 

Licenses & Certifications:

 

  • Willingness to obtain a Property & Casualty state license.

 

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize work efficiently.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and numerical accuracy.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and quality control.
  • Adaptability in a changing work environment, including the ability to manage competing priorities, delays, and unexpected events.
