About the Team
The Strategic HR Business Partner team serves as a key partner to business leaders across The Hanover. We help leaders build high-performing organizations through workforce strategy, leadership development, succession planning, organizational design, change leadership, and talent management.
This role supports Hanover's Technology organization and works closely with business leaders and Centers of Excellence across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, and HR Operations.
What You'll Do
Strategic Business Partnership
• Partner with senior technology leaders to understand business priorities, organizational challenges, and workforce needs.
• Provide strategic counsel on talent, leadership, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
• Influence business decisions through data, insights, and practical recommendations.
Workforce & Talent Strategy
• Lead workforce planning efforts to ensure the organization has the capabilities needed to achieve current and future business objectives.
• Partner with leaders on succession planning, talent reviews, and leadership development strategies.
• Support performance and talent strategies that strengthen organizational capability and readiness.
Organizational Effectiveness
• Lead organizational design and change initiatives that enable business outcomes.
• Help leaders navigate growth, transformation, restructuring, and evolving workforce needs.
• Drive efforts that improve team effectiveness, employee engagement, and organizational performance.
Data & Insights
• Leverage workforce and organizational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations that support business priorities.
• Measure the impact and effectiveness of people and organizational strategies.
Enterprise Leadership
• Lead or contribute to enterprise-wide HR and cross-functional initiatives.
• Share best practices and insights that improve HR partnership across the organization.
• Serve as a role model for collaboration, accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you will:
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with senior technology leaders.

Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including partnership with senior leaders.
• Experience in workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, organizational design, and change leadership.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how people strategies support business outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and navigate complex organizational challenges.
• Strong consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leveraging data and analytics to inform recommendations and decisions.
Preferred
• Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Experience supporting technology, digital, or transformation-focused organizations.
• Experience leading large-scale organizational change initiatives
