Job Responsibilities:
Ability to interpret and apply customized insurance policies to real life examples
Conduct thorough, high quality investigations and utilize outside resources as necessary
Completes a referral on each claim in a timely manner and fully documents the claim file with deductible details
Handles assigned claims following company guidelines and industry best practices
Oversight responsibilities for a TPA to add value and deductible expertise
Maintains a diary system that assures each assigned deductible recoverable that assures each will get the ongoing attention needed
Uses the claims system to accurately document recovery process and post recoveries
Closely manages referrals sent to collection agency to ensure recovery expectations are met
Meet with other departments to discuss deductible details and general recovery issues
May be designated key contact and be asked to be involved in the following: preparing and attending claims reviews, analyzing recovery data and meeting with other employees to discuss account status, meeting and making presentations to other departments
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance; demonstrated understanding of accrual- based accounting requirements
3-5 years of related experience in a general accounting role; prior accounts payable experience a plus
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel proficiency required
