Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Surplus Lines team as the Supervisor. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the daily responsibilities for your assigned region within the Surplus Lines team ensuring timely completion of tasks in accordance with our standard operating procedures. The individual will foster collaboration and support amongst their team members within their assigned region.

The Supervisor will directly oversee the day-to-day operations of the filing team for their assigned region.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the current Manager with day-to-day oversight of surplus lines staff.
  • Oversee daily responsibilities of Surplus Lines staff; ensure they are completed timely and in accordance with our standard operating procedures.
  • Provides recommendations for promotions and/or corrective action plans for surplus lines staff.
  • Efficiently manage and coordinate the work of the assigned area.
  • Schedule and hold weekly one on one’s with surplus lines staff.
  • Direct and monitor the daily workflow of the filing processes and activities.
  • Provides agency partners with hands-on, one-on-one guidance and assistance with tax filing questions and reporting requirements.
  • Maintains day-to-day regulatory documents in an organized and timely fashion at the direction of the team.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of team processes ensuring state regulations and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Resolves non-routine problems as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Must possess strong computing skills, including Microsoft Office and, specifically, Excel
  • Must be able to work independently after given instructions and guidance and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members
  • Must have a high level of problem-solving capacity
  • Must be self-motivated and driven
  • Must communicate effectively – both in writing and orally
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, particularly between January and April

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, but equitable work experience will be accepted.
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role is preferred.
  • At least one-year experience in a regulatory, compliance, or audit environment required.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
