Position Summary:

FirstChoice is currently seeking a Vice President, Strategic Partnerships to join our growing team. This individual will work remotely and is responsible for growing FirstChoice revenue by developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners – service & technology companies, and national agencies that are FirstChoice members. The Vice President, Strategic Partnerships will also collaborate with internal partners to develop new and innovative products and services to attract new members and improve retention of existing members.

Responsibilities:

Vendor Relationships:

  • Evaluate the needs of current and future FirstChoice members and determine mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Create, execute, and maintain Partner Agreements. Negotiate terms with industry partners to enhance member satisfaction and improve profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to implement and improve products and services offerings, pricing structure, Partner Agreements, and member benefits to increase market share, generate revenue, and ensure FirstChoice’s competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with FirstChoice Regional Leaders and the AVP, Technology to build Partner Agreements,
  • Track and report adoption success. Set partner expectations, alter program offerings as needed, and ensure partners are aligned to achieve success.
  • Responsible for renewal and growth of all Partner Agreements.

National Accounts:

  • Serve as FirstChoice key relationship manager for large national partnerships.
  • Discuss carrier aggregation opportunities.
  • Grow FirstChoice members by adding new branch locations.
  • Engage in contract negotiations.
  • Review needs of partner organizations to identify other MarshBerry service offerings.

Additional:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and changes, incorporating “proven practices” in the development of processes, services, and quality standards.
  • Support FirstChoice, MarshBerry, and your personal branding through thought leadership and industry presentations.
  • Other special projects, tasks, or duties as assigned.

Selection Criteria

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Risk Management or another related field. MBA or master’s degree preferred.
  • Additional insurance designations or licenses are a plus.
  • 7 - 10+ years’ experience in business development in the insurance industry.
  • Proficient with technology including CRM, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Salesforce experience is a plus.

Other:

  • Knowledge of the business model and operations of insurance carriers, independent agencies, and insurance networks.
  • Proven success in strategic partnerships and vendor relationship management.
  • Proficient with technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Experience presenting and writing content to be published is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time; includes overnight and weekend travel.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed.
