Key Accountabilities/Deliverables: 

As a valued intern on our Product Liability Underwriting team, you will gain experience with and exposure to Underwriting tasks such as:  

• Correspondence with brokers, vendors, underwriting team  

• Preparation of accounts for modeling  

• Drafting quotes and binders  

• Post-binding account changes/ transactions  

• Policy issuance including correspondence to drafting team and broker to ensure policy is issued per binder.  

• Endorsement processing and issuance  

• Inspection processing  

• Accurate and timely status of accounts within systems throughout the underwriting life cycle  

• Operation of internal controls and timely closure of Internal Audit and other actions  

• Learn the ISO CGL & XS forms along with divisional appetite 

• Exposure to appetite by working with UWs on actual risk & special project as designated by team 

• General office administrative duties as and when required 

Technical Knowledge and Understanding: 

• Pro-active and driven to learn 

• Highly organized with attention to detail  

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills  

• Able to work easily with cross-functional teams  

Experience: 

• Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance or Business
