Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:
As a valued intern on our Product Liability Underwriting team, you will gain experience with and exposure to Underwriting tasks such as:
Correspondence with brokers, vendors, underwriting team
Preparation of accounts for modeling
Drafting quotes and binders
Post-binding account changes/ transactions
Policy issuance including correspondence to drafting team and broker to ensure policy is issued per binder.
Endorsement processing and issuance
Inspection processing
Accurate and timely status of accounts within systems throughout the underwriting life cycle
Operation of internal controls and timely closure of Internal Audit and other actions
Learn the ISO CGL & XS forms along with divisional appetite
Exposure to appetite by working with UWs on actual risk & special project as designated by team
General office administrative duties as and when required
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
Pro-active and driven to learn
Highly organized with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Able to work easily with cross-functional teams
Experience:
Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance or Business
