AVP ControllerPRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The AVP, Controller leads the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP/IFRS and robust internal controls. This role oversees the application of accounting principles, manages month-end and year-end close processes, and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. The AVP Controller provides strategic support to senior leadership, mentors accounting staff, and ensures adherence to regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred. At least 10 years of accounting experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role. Experience with international operations. Proven expertise in GAAP/IFRS compliance and preparation of financial statements for complex or multi-entity organizations. Hands-on experience managing month-end and year-end close processes, audits, and internal controls. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills, with a track record of driving process improvements and leveraging technology.
