Job Description

The Product Engineer Senior Consultant I (Full Stack Java/AI) plays a key role in designing, building, and enhancing internally‑used digital products that support enterprise infrastructure, incident management, and service portal capabilities. This role combines strong software engineering expertise with emerging AI‑driven development practices, leveraging Java, JavaScript, and modern frameworks to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

You will be responsible for implementing generative and agentic AI technologies to augment and automate core development workflows, as well as programming enhancements for the ServiceNow portal without requiring administrative responsibilities. Working closely with technical teams and business partners across multiple geographies, you will contribute to feature design, integration testing, and continuous improvement of internally built tools that support operational teams.

As a hands‑on engineer, you will evaluate proposed software changes, resolve issues and blockers, support feature planning, and ensure high‑quality delivery through systematic testing and functional design. You will also help configure vendor software where needed and act as a subject‑matter resource across multiple business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use knowledge of integrated requirements to evaluate proposed software products.

  • Assist in gathering the training and user documentation requirements.

  •  Manage the issues and blockers for assigned features and product stories.

  • Support the planning, conduct, and review of module and integration testing for all but the most complex projects.

  • Organize, lead and finalize feature review sessions for low to moderately complex business issues/requirements and document resulting decisions.

  • Assist with overall product planning by contributing to/creating stories for low to moderately complex features in areas of responsibility.

  • Configure vendor software; review and verify operation of new vendor release features. Leverage vendor defect resolution procedures and support tools to resolve issues.

  • Create the functional design, leveraging basic technical skills, to address a low to moderate complex business process or issue or to address the requirements of a single or multiple set of product features.

  • In partnership with the business groups and technical teams, provide knowledge and support for resolving technology issues in more than one area of the business; often a subject matter expert.

  • Implement generative and agentic AI capabilities to automate and optimize development workflows.

  • Build and support features for the ServiceNow portal (no admin duties), enabling incident and infrastructure management.

Essential Skills:

  • 3 years or more of experience in Java and JavaScript. (Or Equivalent)

  • 1 year or more of experience working with Angular.JS, HTML and CSS. (Or Equivalent)

  • 1 year or more of experience in implementation, deploying agentic AI frameworks and GenAI models to streamline software development pipelines. (Or Equivalent)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous processing.

  • Experience in Generative AI, LangChain, LLM orchestration, and prompt engineering.

  • Familiarity with Python or React.js.
