Assistant Vice President

Assist Managing Directors/VPs in underwriting R&W opportunities
Review submission materials and draft NBI's to review with senior team members
draft insurance excess and primary policies and binders
Conduct due diligence review to analyze the risk to be insured, including (i) reviewing asset and merger agreements, disclosure schedules, data room materials and financial and operational records of prospective insureds, and (ii) preparing conference call agendas.  
Engage in marketing efforts with brokers

Job Description:  

  • Review and assist Head of US tax in underwriting tax opportunities
  • Engage in marketing to grow Ambridge's tax insurance opportunities.  
  • Conduct underwriting due diligence to analyze the risk to be insured, including (i) reviewing the tax code and other authorities, underwriting information provided by the broker/insured, key facts and legal analysis, (ii) participating on conference calls with the proposed insured and their advisors to discuss the risk to be insured; and (iii) preparing conference call agendas
  • Assist Head of US tax on preparing NBIs and CONFs
  • Ensure underwriting file completion upon binding of tax opportunities.
  • Conduct research on current product offerings, and potential new product offerings
  • Review claims and provide any necessary support related thereto to the claims team.

Collaborate with colleagues from Ambridge Europe/Ambridge Canada to assist in cross-border underwriting
