We currently have an opportunity for an Account Executive to join our Healthcare Commercial Lines team.
General Description:
- Responsible for the retention of assigned client accounts.
- Responsible for independently and proactively managing client accounts.
- Activities include, but not limited to renewal marketing, handling client questions and requests, and coverage review.
- Responsibilities may include aiding Sales Executives and Account Executives, if applicable.
- Required to perform essential functions and meet service standards and Best Practices developed by Hub.
This position is open to any of our HUB Northeast offices.
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance. Occasional outside service visits, to the client, may be required.
- Responsible for day-to-day servicing and retention of Client Accounts.
- Provide technical expertise (knowledge of insurance coverages and products, staying abreast on industry updates and changes) to Sales Executive/Account Executive(s); specifically, in analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotations during the sales process on new and renewal business.
- Contribute information and ideas during strategy meetings. Prepare Stewardship reports. Maintain renewal expirations, avoid any lapse in coverage.
- Responsible for marketing process. Preparation of submissions to carriers, including application preparation, loss analysis and including other pertinent information for professional, quality new and renewal submissions. In some instances, you will market accounts yourself, in others, you will work with the Marketing team to assist with the marketing of accounts. Submit to eligible and appropriate carriers and follow-up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies. Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages, terms, and conditions. Make insurance program recommendations.
- Adhere to Commercial Lines Best Practices -- including written confirmation of new and renewal binding, evidence of coverage, changes to coverage and other related items.
- Prepare proposals and summaries of insurance, as needed.
- Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
- Provide direction to clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitate prompt response from carrier.
- Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverage's in coordination with Sales Executive/Account Executive(s).
- Prepare documents for and participate in weekly Critical Path meetings.
Experience and Skills Required:
- A minimum of 7-10 years commercial lines experience
- Four-year college Degree
- Valid P&C License
- Experience with servicing middle market and large account
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with clients and carriers
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline driven environment
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Ability to travel as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of EPIC (ideal)
The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and commissions for some positions.
