Summary:
The Default Servicing Group Manager is responsible for overall leadership, management, and operational activities for the Asset Recovery and Remarketing team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall management of asset recovery and remarketing related activities for vehicles, RV and marine loans.
- Manages a team of colleagues who are responsible for end-to-end asset recovery and remarketing, including, but not limited to, new assignments, inbound phone staff, redemptions, title work and collateral liquidation via our auction network.
- Establishes short and long-term strategic initiatives for the Asset Recover and Remarketing group that are in support of overall corporate goals and objectives.
- Develops new policies and procedures which ensure efficiency in operations and compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Provides direction in the establishment and/or implementation of new technologies.
- Monitors and reports on overall departmental performance and industry trends.
- Effectively manages relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and program partners.
- Works closely with cross-functional leaders to quickly and effectively identify and address operational gaps.
- Partners with other teams on broader organizational objectives including system implementations, M&A related activities and program onboarding.
- Create, prepare, and monitor a variety of department reports used to articulate overall performance and to identify opportunities for enhancement. Work with the management team cross-functionally to create and implement strategies to address identified concern areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience managing the overall process of asset recovery and remarketing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical communication skills
- Ability to solve complex internal and external customer conflicts
- Ability to lead effectively, motivate colleagues and develop top talent
- Strong technical and critical thinking skills including the ability to develop reports, understand and organize data and make effective decisions based on data
