Profile Summary:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Operational Risk Management (ORM) reports to the Vice President & Head of ORM for Voya Financial (Voya), and is responsible for supporting Voya’s strategy, framework and execution activities for managing operational risk; ensuring a proper process is in place to mitigate and prioritize risk remediation actions. ORM is defined as a continual process which includes risk identification, assessment, measurement, implementation of risk controls, and monitoring of risk treatments, in particular risk acceptance, mitigation, or avoidance of risk. ORM is the governance and oversight function responsible for independently managing operational risk in partnership with senior business management. At Voya, operational risk stems from the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes and systems; human factors; or external events. This senior role will assist the organization in the identification, classification, measurement and monitoring of operational and related business risks. Work closely with others in Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Audit functions and business units to provide business management with a consistent and accurate view of the sources, scale, and scope of identified risks.
Profile Description:
As the most senior operational risk professional within a defined business unit, the individual’s primary focus is on properly advising the business on operational risk matters and executing the implementation and communication of operational risk-related policies, practices and framework to support business leadership in monitoring, analyzing and remediating the organization’s key risk exposures on both a tactical and strategic basis.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
