GEICO is in the midst of an exciting transformation as a product and tech powered company. We are seeking Head of Corporate Real Estate and Business Services leader, responsible for owning the company’s real estate portfolio, which is a key strategic lever for operational efficiency, workforce agility, associate experience and customer-centric innovation.

The leader will lead a team of real estate facilities management (REFM) professionals to drive a modern, flexible footprint that supports hybrid work, contact center evolution, and regional market optimization. Our real estate portfolio totals approximately 5 million square feet (leased and owned); and supports the work of approximately 26,000 employees. In addition to real estate, this leader will be responsible for the overall real estate portfolio, mail operations, corporate security, executive protection, fleet management and corporate travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Real Estate Strategy

  • Demonstrate success partnering with Executive Leadership Team (ELT) stakeholders to shape and execute enterprise location strategy and major real estate investment decisions, ensuring alignment with business priorities, workforce strategy, financial discipline, and long-term growth objectives. Measured by quality of cross-ELT engagement, decision velocity, and outcomes driven through strong stakeholder trust, influence, and partnership.

  • Partner with executive leadership to align real estate decisions with enterprise priorities including expansion, restructuring, and digital transformation.

  • Reimagine workplace strategy to enhance productivity, collaboration, and employee experience.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor on location strategy and labor market analytics.

  • Lead scenario planning and long-range strategic modeling tied to business outcomes.

  • Oversee facilities operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and business continuity.

  • Optimize vendor ecosystem and outsourcing strategies.

  • Establish best-in-class governance, processes, and performance metrics

Portfolio Optimization and Financial Performance

  • Manage a real estate portfolio, optimizing cost, utilization, and ROI.

  • Drive capital allocation decisions across leases, acquisitions, disposals, and buildouts.

  • Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation through innovative deal structures and vendor strategies.

Workplace Experience & Future of Work

  • Champion innovative workplace models that support hybrid, flexible, and distributed teams.

  • Enhance employee experience through design, amenities, and services.

  • Partner with HR/Associate Experience teams and business leaders to align workplace with talent strategy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate real estate, strategy, consulting, or related fields.

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives in complex organizations.

  • Experience managing sizeable real estate portfolios across regions.

  • Strong financial acumen, including capital planning, P&L ownership, and deal structuring.

  • Deep understanding of workplace trends, hybrid models, and digital transformation.

  • Experience in M&A integration and cross-functional enterprise strategy.

Annual Salary

$210,000.00 - $390,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
