The Sales Enablement & Loan Officer Recruiting Specialist plays a critical role in driving growth at Salem Five Mortgage Company through the identification, recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing enablement of high-quality loan officer talent.   This individual operates as a business development-focused recruiter, proactively sourcing and engaging experienced mortgage loan officers, while also serving as a key partner in onboarding, training, and supporting new hires through their first 90 days to ensure successful integration and production ramp-up.   In addition, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining sales enablement infrastructure, including training materials, SOPs, intranet content, and performance reporting. The position also supports the company’s direct-to-consumer (Channel III) platform by monitoring loan activity and ensuring appropriate follow-up.   This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and is tightly aligned with the company’s production and growth strategy. The Specialist is responsible for building a strong pipeline of qualified candidates and introducing them to the Director of Sales for evaluation and final hiring decisions. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

Loan Officer Recruiting & Talent Acquisition:

  •  Proactively source, identify, and engage experienced mortgage loan officers within designated markets utlzing on-line resources based on current needs and priorities designated by the Director of Sales.  Develop and manage a pipeline of prospects via phone, email, and text outreach.  Present Salem Five’s value proposition to appropriate and interested candidates.  Make introductions to the Director of Sales for follow-up.

Onboarding & New Hire Integration:

  • Onboard new hires and serve as a primary  contact for systems, processes, guidelines, compliance,  departmental introduction and support.  The support will last through the new hire’s first 90 days of hire.  Provide feedback to the Director of Sales during this 90 day period.

Sales Enablement & Training Development: 

  • Maintain SOP’s, training materials, guidelines, and job aids on the mortgage intranet.

Reporting, KPIs & Performance Metrics: 

  • Provide reports on a recurring basis to the Director of Sales to measure sales activity and performance to aid the Director of Sales in identifying and acting on KPI’s.

Channel III (Direct-to-Consumer Platform) Support:

  • Monitor loan activity generated through the Channel III direct-to-consumer platform and ensure timely follow up on inbound opportunities.  Report results to the Director of Sales on a recurring basis.

This person will be asked, from time-to-time, to partner on special departmental projects as they arise.

Education and/or Experience: 

High school diploma, or equivalent required. 3+ years of experience in Mortgage recruiting, or Mortgage loan origination, or Sales/business development within financial services. Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, recruiting, sales enablement, or sales growth.  Industry Knowledge, understanding of Mortgage origination process, Loan officer compensation structures, Agency and portfolio lending products and familiarity with mortgage technology platforms (e.g., Encompass, POS systems) preferred.

Salary Range:  $60,000 - $90,000 Plus bonus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, and performance. This range may be modified in the future.
