Job Summary:

The Associate Broker supports the broker by providing service after the sale to the client. This role works closely with Underwriters and underwriting assistants at the carrier level. The Associate Broker performs basic clerical duties and data entry using carrier portals.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate Quotes, Binders, and Premium Finance Agreements.
  • Resolve administrative problems and inquiries.
  • Handle requests for information and data.
  • Order Inspections at time binding if required by the carrier. 
  • Diary for follow up if needed.
  • Handle midterms change requests with our retail agents and carriers.
  • Request quotes and binders from carriers and deliveries to retail agents.
  • Review the policy for accuracy against carrier generated quote and binder.
  • Diary for missing items at time of binding.
  • Complete Surplus Lines Tax Forms and deliver to the carrier.
  • Work with our accounting department if needed to determine outstanding balance from insurance agent.
  • Document file as to communication between our clients and insurance companies.
  • Handle the renewal process by obtaining and delivering quotes.
  • Create and modify documents in Word, Excel, Adobe and ImageRight.
  • Assists with work overflow and contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

  •  Communication and knowledge of relevant software including Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and data entry.

Education/Experience:

  •  3+ years of insurance experience preferred
  •  CSR licensed or producer licensed preferred
  •  College degreed preferred

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
