Make your mark in Casualty & Environmental Underwriting Lines

AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model, and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. As an Environmental Professional Associate Underwriter will be part of UW teams. He/she should work in team, learn about all the products offered in Casualty, focus on the customer to provide excellence service and contributes to increase a profitable portfolio. He/she should build business relationships.

How you will create an impact

  • Focus on Underwriting & Risk Assessment for Environmental accounts.
  • Negotiate Environmental Insurance policies.
  • Support market awareness and training initiatives.
  • Effective underwriting helps protect the financial stability of the company minimizing the risk of large claims of defaults.
  • The underwriters contribute to the profitability of the organization by ensuring that premiums or rates accurately reflect the level of risk.
  • A professional approach to underwriting can lead to higher client retention rates and positive word of mouth referrals.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the underwriting department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that underwriting decisions comply with company guidelines, industry regulations, and legal standards.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of industry practices to ensure compliance.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Environmental field, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar), graduating in 2025-2026.
  • Previous Experience on Environmental Engineering and Environmental Risk Assessment.
  • Good commercial, communication and technical skills.
  • Medium to advanced English communication skills.
  • Time management – ability to manage & prioritize workload and diary management.
  • Effective analytical and attention to detail.
  • Focused on team work and collaboration.
