Primary Responsibility: Support both the renewal and new business sales processes across all market segments for employee benefits programs. Collaborate closely with Marketing Analysts, Account Managers, Producers, and Technical staff to facilitate the implementation, servicing, and renewal of health and welfare and employee benefits programs. Ensure efficient coordination of client activities, maintain strong internal partnerships, and contribute to the successful delivery of employee benefits solutions.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
· Obtain, organize, and record all data/documentation from numerous sources for the renewal and new sales process.
· Obtain/develop detailed census from customers.
· Prepare, submit, and track RFP’s during both the renewal and new sales process.
· Responsible for ensuring timely follow-up correspondence with carrier/vendors during the marketing process.
· Market renewal and new business for small to large groups. Obtain and evaluate quotes to determine and recommend markets and products.
· Prepare customer presentations including plan comparisons, cost benefit analysis of plan options, contribution strategies, etc.
· Document account information into the internal management databases and document management system.
· Routine Audit of Marketing Action items to meet IO Requirements
· Utilize knowledge of carrier underwriting criteria, plan benefits, and carrier products, etc.
· Apply basic understanding of claims utilization reporting and group experience analysis for marketing strategies.
· Develop and maintain carrier and vendor relationships.
· Coordinate and participate in customer/carrier conference calls and meetings.
· Attend Marketing meetings (lead as needed & coordinate)
· Support Team as needed.
· Performs any other duties that may be assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· Work well with fellow employees of the agency.
· Assist the marketing manager cooperatively and courteously.
· Meet agency continuing education requirements.
· Work independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimal instruction.
· High School Diploma
· 2-15 Florida Life & Health Insurance License (Within 2 months of employment)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (formulas, data manipulation, pivot tables, etc.)
· Computer Literacy
· Bachelor’s degree, preferred
· 1-2 years Insurance carrier/ broker experience, preferred
