Job Description

Position Title: Account Executive

About the Position:

The ideal candidate for the Account Executive position will be a self-motivated and goal- oriented individual who is looking to grow with a company.  

The Account Executive will be responsible for supporting the Account Manager in handling a broad range of daily activities.  In addition to supporting the AM with their renewals, a successful candidate will also handle multiple levels of interactions with our partners.  Experience in the insurance industry is encouraged, but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Request/Send Policy Numbers – Account Manager handles

    • Provide all pre-subs as need to get policy numbers released

    • Send policy numbers in POST BINDING email

  • Make sure we receive the binders – Account Manager handles

    • Provide all pre-subs as needed to have binders released

    • Make sure Account Manager has a copy of all binders received

    • Make sure Accounting Manager is CC on all binders received (Account Manager needs to send the SL forms)

  • Subjectivities – Account Manager handles

    • Manage all aspect of the subjectivities

      • Request

      • File

      • Send to carrier

      • Set suspense for follow ups (policy #s, binders, policies to Excess markets as needed)

      • Be pro-active

  • Policies – Account Associate handles

    • Request policies from carrier in not received within 30 days

    • Send policy to agents (only after Jose has sent the binders)

    • Send underlying policies to Excess markets

  • Endorsements – Account Associate handles

    • For now, you will be sending only non-premium generating endorsements

    • Once we pick up some traction, you will also oversee premium endorsements as well

    • Any endorsement request you receive, send to Jose, he will then send them to the carrier and CC you

  • Associate is AM’s backup when he’s out of the office

    • All POST BINDING aspects

  • Assist with binders when we are backed up

    • I’ll show you how to process binders when we pick up some steam

    • I’m not scheduled to be out until Thanksgiving week, so I’ll show you before then

  • Any account inquiries go to Account Manager, unless you feel capable of handling

    • If handling, please CC Account Manager on emails

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • High School graduate required; College courses preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proactive, independent work ethic with strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do attitude

  • Ability to work in dynamic environment, adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions

  • Highly organized and able to structure day based on deadlines and pending items

  • Self-motivated and goal oriented

  • Strong organization skills, with a high level of detail orientation

Work Location:

This position is located in our Bellaire, TX office and requires 3 days in the office.

Salary Transparency:

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
