Description
The Director of Enterprise Supplier Management will establish, and lead dedicated team to optimize supplier performance, strengthen third party governance and unlock value through strategic supplier partnerships. This leader will design and operationalize a unified supplier management model that elevates risk performance, drives innovation and ensures consisted execution of Huntington’s standards with strategic suppliers providing services across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Strategy & Leadership
- Build and lead Huntington’s Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) organization, establishing vision, strategic roadmap, and operating model for enterprise-wide supplier oversight.
- Define and govern the supplier‑management lifecycle—from intake and onboarding through performance monitoring, renewal, and exit.
- Set enterprise standards and performance expectations, leveraging practices used in high‑governance vendor roles such as SLA reviews, KPI measurement, and structured vendor assessments.
Supplier Performance & Relationship Management
- Establish standardized enterprise performance dashboards, scorecards, and business reviews modeled on Huntington’s existing third party risk and performance monitoring practices.
- Lead strategic supplier negotiations and partnerships to drive innovation, cost efficiency, resiliency, and improved business outcomes.
- Oversee relationship strategies for major enterprise vendors, with focus on performance, cost optimization, and strategic alignment.
- Partner with Third Party Risk, Legal and Procurement to enforce contractual obligations, service levels, regulatory clauses, data protection requirements, and termination protocols.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner with Third Party Risk to deliver an enterprise vendor oversight program ensuring policy compliance
- Coordinate with Procurement leadership to ensure sourcing strategies and category plans align with enterprise supplier management objectives
- Work closely with Finance to align financial controls, cost‑optimization goals, and supplier investment decisions
- Engage directly with executive leadership to ensure supplier strategies support broader enterprise transformation and operational priorities
- Act as an escalation point and provide negotiations support for successful outcomes
Operational Excellence & Innovation
- Drive continuous improvement with emphasis on innovation and efficiency throughout the vendor lifecycle
- Implement enterprise technology solutions (SRM platforms, spend analytics, dashboards) to improve visibility and provide insights
- Champion a culture of data‑driven management, supplier transparency, and proactive issue resolution
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10 or more years of experience in procurement, vendor management, third party risk or project management, customer satisfaction, technology sales with leadership experience in enterprise-wide function.
