The Graphic Design Specialist is an integral part of the Emergent Holdings communications team
and will manage projects from ideation and design to production with adherence to the Emergent
Holdings brand standards and the ability to drive a consistent visual identity.
Based in the Detroit or Grand Rapids areas, this person will lead design projects for the division, including brand
development, corporate identity, corporate presentations, infographics, print and digital advertising,
website design, and trade show graphics – all aligned to support strategic, measurable goals. Working
knowledge of SharePoint sites, websites, HTML and WordPress required.
The Graphic Design Specialist must have strong multimedia design skills, be highly motivated,
organized and detail-oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to
changing priorities. This person must also be able to collaborate and thrive in a small team, work under
tight timelines with changing priorities, interact at all levels of the organization and demonstrate a high
degree of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in web or graphic design, computer science, marketing, communications or related
field required. Combinations of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Progress toward an advanced degree or certification is highly preferred and encouraged.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum five years’ experience in a design-focused environment which provides the necessary skill, knowledge and abilities required. Agency and corporate design experience preferred. Web and video production/editing experience preferred.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED
Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows and prompt engineering for visual generation platforms.
PAY RANGE: Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $64,900 and $108,700.
