About This Role:
The Reinsurance and Portfolio Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and monitoring assumed reinsurance transactions, program and MGA business, and providing underwriting diligence on strategic initiatives in support of the Reinsurance and Portfolio Management department.
This role operates with broad scope across multiple underwriting workstreams rather than a single fixed book, and requires the ability to evaluate risk quality and make sound underwriting decisions across unfamiliar lines and deal structures with minimal lead time.
This role allows the Partner Programs and Ceded Reinsurance teams to remain focused on their core relationship and portfolio responsibilities by absorbing time-sensitive underwriting evaluation work as it arises.

The Morristown, NJ base pay range for this role is $175,000-$250,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, location, business needs and market demands.
