Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team in Meridian, ID.
The Commercial Lines Account Manager delivers exceptional client service while managing and supporting a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and internal teams—handling policy servicing, account management, and supporting new business and renewal activities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of balancing high-volume service needs with strategic account support, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
How You Will Contribute:
Client Service & Account Management
Serve as a primary contact for client inquiries, providing timely, professional, and high-quality service.
Manage inbound and outbound phone call service requests.
Manage day-to-day service requests including policy changes, endorsements, certificates, ID cards, and coverage questions.
Support clients with billing questions, payment processing, and premium collection.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and long-term partnerships.
Assist clients with navigation of online portals and self-service options via the carrier.
Policy Administration & Documentation
Prepare, review, and process insurance documents including:
Certificates of insurance
Binders and endorsements
Renewal accords/supplementals and proposals
Maintain accurate client records in agency management systems, including updates, file documentation, and tracking open items.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and carrier requirements.
Coordinate services between clients, carriers, and internal teams.
Collect and analyze client exposure data and assist in identifying coverage gaps.
Verify invoicing accuracy and assist with premium finance agreements and accounting-related items.
Manage mid-term policy changes and assist with renewal strategy and stewardship reviews.
Identify opportunities for additional coverage to mitigate uninsured or underinsured exposures.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Required
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license
3+ years of commercial lines account management
Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
Ability to service within modern tech-centric agency management systems
Preferred
Equivalent work experience or equivalent college degree
Experience in commercial insurance markets and carrier relationships
Experience supporting marketing, renewals, or new business placement
