The Senior Property Broker for our Minneapolis-based Construction team is responsible for leading the placement and broking strategy for complex North American construction and real estate property clients, including both new business and renewals. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders by developing placement strategies, negotiating with insurers, analyzing risk and coverage options, and delivering innovative insurance solutions. The Senior Property Broker builds and maintains strong relationships with producers, underwriters, and clients while supporting business development, proposal creation, and the successful execution of complex construction insurance programs.

The Role:
Lead the placement and brokerage of new and renewal construction property accounts
Develop and execute marketing strategies that achieve optimal coverage, pricing, and program structure for clients.
Serve as the primary brokerage contact with insurers and producers, leading negotiations on coverage terms, conditions, pricing, and capacity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key underwriters, producers, client advocates, and internal service teams to support placement success and business growth.
Gather, evaluate, and distribute underwriting information from clients and producing offices to support the placement process.
Design, interpret, and present analytics, modeling, and program comparisons to support client decision-making and placement strategy.
Prepare or oversee the development of submissions, proposals, marketing reports, quotations, and other placement documentation.
Review carrier quotations and provide strategic recommendations regarding coverage enhancements, program structure, and risk transfer solutions.
Negotiate final carrier terms, conditions, and coverage confirmations while ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Bind coverage and review binders, policies, and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Conduct peer reviews of insurance programs to ensure quality, consistency, and technical excellence.
Participate in internal strategy meetings, client presentations, and insurer meetings to support account servicing and business development initiatives.
Provide technical property expertise for complex and difficult-to-place construction risks.
Review construction contracts and insurance requirements to evaluate risk transfer provisions, identify coverage implications, and provide recommendations to ensure alignment between contractual obligations and insurance program design.
Stay informed of marketplace trends, carrier appetite, emerging coverage solutions, and industry developments to deliver innovative client solutions.
Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
