About the ROLE
Each day at AssuranceAmerica is different, but as a Data Warehouse Engineer III in Information Technology, you will:
Assist with research, recommendations, and implementation of newer Azure / Cloud based technologies to replace legacy data warehouse systems and processes
Develop ETL packages for translation and movement of data between vendor systems and the Data Warehouse.
Build, extend and maintain SSAS OLAP cubes.
Proactively communicate directly with business representatives to extract requirements and review work in progress.
Assist in monitoring production jobs, correcting failures, troubleshooting and solving problems
Manage break/fix events and drive solutions to correct and prevent recurring issues
Monitor and improve overall health of the data warehouse environment
Communicate data warehouse related issues, changes and outages to department manager and end-user community
Recommend standards, procedures, and policies that help both the internal group as well as other operations and customer groups
Organize work schedule to achieve timely processing of all responsibilities
Identify opportunities to improve the Business
Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated approach to learning new technologies and techniques to enhance development skills.
Job Qualifications
Formal Education & Certification
Requires a 4 year degree in a related technical area or equivalent experience
Knowledge & Experience
7+ years of experience as a SQL / Data Warehouse Developer in a SQL Server or equivalent environment
Strong knowledge of and experience with SQL (candidates will be tested), creating performance tuned stored procedures and functions, SSRS (or equivalent)
Experience with ETL development strongly preferred. Ability to design, develop, tune, and maintain OLAP cubes using Microsoft SSAS strongly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to work in a fast-paced automated production environment.
Auto insurance experience preferred.
Good oral and written communications skills.

Must be professional and maintain an acceptable level of integrity and professionalism.
