Job Summary

The Manager, Digital Analytics owns defined workstreams within Flagstar's digital measurement and analytics capability across web, mobile app, and digital marketing channels. The role is responsible for executing instrumentation, reporting, and platform work within the measurement framework established for the function, and for exercising independent judgment on methodology, analysis, and the framing of recommendations to stakeholders.

This is an individual contributor position. The Manager brings hands-on technical proficiency in tag management, analytics platforms, and reporting, and operates with day-to-day independence within assigned scope. The role partners with development teams, channel owners, and marketing stakeholders to ensure digital data collection is accurate, reporting is actionable, and measurement requirements are met. Performance is measured on the accuracy, timeliness, and analytical quality of work delivered within the assigned workstreams.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Measurement and Governance

  • Execute digital measurement work within the framework and standards established for the function, including event taxonomy, KPI definitions, and tagging governance.
  • Partner with the Digital Experience team to support their measurement requirements, including building and maintaining abandonment, completion, and adoption reporting at the screen and field level.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the measurement framework, flagging gaps, inconsistencies, and coverage issues to the Sr. Manager for resolution.
  • Apply data governance practices to all assigned instrumentation and reporting work, including adherence to tagging standards, naming conventions, and data layer specifications.
  • Define instrumentation requirements for assigned digital experiences, features, and campaigns in coordination with the Sr. Manager, ensuring measurement is specified before development begins.
  • Support integration of digital measurement into cross-channel attribution and campaign performance reporting as directed.
  • Monitor developments in privacy regulation, browser signal loss, and consent management and surface implications to the Sr. Manager with supporting analysis.

Tag Management, Instrumentation, and Data Collection

  • Implement, maintain, and QA tags within the tag management environment across assigned Flagstar digital properties, operating within the governance structure established by the Sr. Manager.
  • Build and maintain client-side and server-side data collection configurations for assigned use cases, including digital analytics, paid media tracking, and consent management.
  • Execute first-party data collection implementations, including server-side tagging and consent mode configurations, under the direction of the Sr. Manager.
  • Contribute to data layer specifications for assigned web and mobile app development projects, translating measurement requirements into implementable specifications in partnership with development teams.
  • Conduct tag audits and QA on assigned properties and releases, documenting findings and escalating data quality issues with supporting detail.
  • Serve as an analytics technical resource for assigned development and engineering partners, translating measurement needs into implementation requirements.

Analytics Platform Administration and Ecosystem Management

  • Administer and maintain assigned configurations within Flagstar's digital analytics platforms, including Adobe Analytics, GA4, and related tools, operating within the governance structure established by the Sr. Manager.
  • Support vendor relationship management by tracking platform performance, documenting issues, and preparing materials for escalation or review.
  • Identify and document opportunities to enhance the digital analytics technology stack, including CDP integrations and AI-assisted analytics tools, and bring recommendations to the Sr. Manager.
  • Maintain platform health for assigned areas, including user access, data feed integrity, processing rules, and downstream data environment integrations.
  • Monitor platform changes, browser updates, and iOS/Android policy shifts affecting assigned data collection configurations and flag impacts with recommended responses.

Reporting, Visualization, and Insight Delivery

  • Build and maintain digital performance dashboards and reporting views for assigned stakeholder groups, providing timely visibility into web and mobile app performance, campaign effectiveness, and customer journey behavior.
  • Develop reporting in BI platforms including Power BI or Tableau that connects digital behavioral data to marketing and business outcomes within the assigned scope.
  • Analyze digital data to identify friction points, drop-off patterns, and engagement signals, framing findings and initial recommendations for stakeholder review.
  • Support the definition of reporting cadence, metric definitions, and visualization standards for assigned domains in coordination with the Sr. Manager.
  • Execute measurement plans and results analysis for A/B and multivariate testing programs within assigned scope.

Cross-Functional Partnership and Enablement

  • Serve as a digital analytics resource for assigned marketing, digital experience, and technology stakeholders, providing analysis, platform guidance, and measurement support.
  • Develop training materials, documentation, and user guides for assigned platforms and reporting tools, enabling stakeholders to self-serve on routine analytics needs.
  • Apply compliance, legal, and privacy requirements to all assigned digital data collection work, escalating questions or conflicts to the Sr. Manager.
  • Contribute to the broader Marketing Analytics team by sharing findings, supporting cross-channel projects, and participating in analytics infrastructure work as assigned.
  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance training. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Minimum experience required: 6+ Years of hands-on experience in digital analytics, marketing analytics, or digital measurement, with demonstrated proficiency in tag management, analytics platform configuration, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining tags in Adobe Launch (Adobe Tags) and/or Google Tag Manager, including familiarity with server-side container configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Analytics and/or GA4, including report configuration, variable mapping, and data validation.
  • Familiarity with privacy-first measurement approaches, including consent management platforms, server-side tagging, and consent mode.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and reporting support.
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting views in BI platforms such as Power BI, Dynamics, or Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with web and mobile app development teams on data layer and instrumentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with paid digital media measurement, including search, social, programmatic, and affiliate tracking architectures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), or equivalent CDP environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
  • Experience with Python or R for data processing or analysis automation.
  • Google Analytics certification, Adobe Analytics certification, or equivalent platform credentials.
  • Financial services or other regulated industry experience with working knowledge of applicable data privacy requirements.

Job Competencies:

  • Hands-on proficiency in digital analytics instrumentation, including tag implementation, data layer contribution, and QA within an established governance framework.
  • Working proficiency in Adobe Analytics and/or GA4, with the ability to configure, maintain, and validate platform settings and reporting for assigned scope.
  • Familiarity with the evolving digital measurement landscape, including privacy signal loss and consent management. Ability to flag implications and execute measurement adjustments under direction.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ability to work with development and engineering teams on assigned instrumentation and data collection requirements.
  • Analytical judgment sufficient to identify what a change in a metric likely means, frame an initial recommendation, and escalate when the root cause is unclear.
  • Skill in building accurate, timely dashboards and reporting views for assigned stakeholder groups, with outputs that are interpretable by non-technical partners.
  • Ability to work across marketing, technology, and analytics stakeholders on assigned workstreams, translating between business needs and technical requirements.
  • Ability to develop training materials and documentation that support stakeholder self-service on assigned platforms and reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy regulations applicable to digital analytics, including CCPA, GLBA, and emerging state privacy laws, applied to day-to-day work.
  • Ability to manage multiple assigned projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively and communicating status and tradeoffs to the Sr. Manager.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Pay Range

$89,994.00 - $146,002.00
