The Financial Business Systems Analyst Advanced conducts advanced analysis to support business and financial system needs through the effective use of technology, data, and process knowledge. This role partners with business units, technical teams, and other key stakeholders to solve complex business problems, administer applications, review systems, map data flows, and analyze workflows and procedures. The position also uses proven requirements-gathering methods to identify, validate, organize, document, and communicate business, data, and functional requirements for priority or complex initiatives. In addition, this role performs systems analysis and research in response to business unit requests related to reports, data, integrations, application functionality, and process improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
- Conducts business, systems, and data analysis to understand problems, document needs, evaluate options, and recommend solutions.
- Gathers, validates, documents, and communicates business, functional, data, and technical requirements.
- Analyzes system, data, mapping, integration, and workflow issues; documents impacts and requirements.
- Supports data mapping, data flow, source-to-target relationship, transformation logic, and related documentation activities.
- Performs data analysis and translation between source systems, finance data structures, application requirements, reporting needs, and accounting needs.
- Coordinates system enhancements, workflow changes, data changes, testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation support with business, technical, vendor, and implementation teams.
- Works with the team to determine test approach, translate requirements into test plans and test cases, and validate technical or data changes.
- Provides analytics to support business and system decisions, including links and interdependencies across functional areas.
- Develops and delivers business, functional, data, technical, workflow, training, and reference documentation for a variety of audiences.
- Facilitates meetings, requirement gathering, and cross-functional discussions using collaborative methods.
- Provides effort and time estimates for system modifications, data changes, and new system initiatives.
- Works closely with developers, test analysts, systems support technicians, business partners, management, vendors, and data subject matter experts.
- Supports project activities, small business initiatives, configuration changes, vendor coordination, and business analysis process improvements.
- Works effectively in a team environment, manages multiple priorities, ensures on-time delivery, and mentors less senior analysts as needed.
- Maintains up-to-date technical and practical knowledge of systems analysis, data analysis, system testing, internal processes, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Prepares status and management reports as required.
- Develops and maintains technology and business technical recovery plans and participates in Disaster Recovery exercises.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Management, and/or Computer Science.
- Combinations of relevant education and significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE
With proper education credentials, 3 years of experience providing information technology solutions to business problems. Prior experience with financial software preferred.

PAY RANGE: Actual compensation decision relies on the consideration of internal equity, candidate's skills and professional experience, geographic location, market, and other potential factors. It is not standard practice for an offer to be at or near the top of the range, and therefore a reasonable estimate for this role is between $70,600 and $118,300.
