SUMMER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW: 

The Hanover’s Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge, and match your interests to a real job.
Through the 10-week summer program​ (June – mid August), You will: 

  • Take on meaningful projects and work alongside some of the very best talent in the industry
  • Be supported and mentored by a community of exceptional talent (leaders, managers, subject matter experts and recent graduates) 
  • Participate in a cross-functional team building project focused on corporate philanthropy
  • Attend weekly development workshops with your intern peers
  • Join in engagement and social activities with other interns

Our Personal Lines team is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options.   

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
Review and interpret performance measures with business manager
In partnership with manager, determines process performance requirements and appropriate measures.
Supports manager to ensure that the effectiveness and efficiency of the process are improved.
Assist in conflict resolution.
Works with the manager to ensure people and skill requirements of the process are met.
Conduct research around process performance reports inside and outside the industry to inform the Process Leads.
Works with manager to understand financial impact, skill set requirements, and legal and compliance issues for a process. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program
Understands & demonstrates the importance of developing and maintaining cooperative relationships at all levels of the organization, despite differing perspectives.
Possesses some level of knowledge within the discipline supported
Strong communication skills.
The ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders 
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Compensation:

The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus (which could take the form of a general bonus, sales incentive, or short-term incentive), long-term incentive or spot recognition awards. The posted range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
