Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments.
All interns participate in a variety of developmental and professional activities designed to support learning and exposure to the organization. Depending on your school year, program components may include:
Within Finance & Strategy, interns gain exposure to the financial and strategic functions that support Huntington's business objectives and long-term growth. Students partner directly with professionals to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives while developing knowledge of financial planning and analysis, treasury management, investor relations, accounting and controllership, tax, and corporate strategy.
Opportunities may include Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), where interns assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business performance analysis; Treasury, focusing on liquidity, funding, and capital management; Investor Relations, supporting shareholder communications and financial messaging; Tax, gaining exposure to tax reporting, compliance, and planning activities; Controllership, contributing to financial reporting, accounting processes, and internal controls; and Strategy & Ventures, helping evaluate growth opportunities, market trends, and strategic initiatives. Interns may also support specialized finance teams, such as Commercial Banking FP&A, Corporate & Strategic FP&A, and Consumer & Regional Banking FP&A, gaining insight into how financial analysis drives decision-making across the organization. Interns will gain hands-on experience and exposure to the teams, processes, and decisions that help drive Huntington's growth and performance.
