Job Summary
The Cloud Engineer Sr is expected to work with other engineers to identify, implement, deploy, debug, and monitor cloud-based solutions for the company. The responsibilities include managing cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines, develop best practices, educate teams on the implementation of cloud-based initiatives, providing training as required, and making recommendations as needed to help the company adapt to cloud technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages a multi-origin, zero-downtime, highly scalable web infrastructure both on-premise and in the cloud (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure).
- Architects, builds, scales and secure middle tier infrastructure focusing specifically on automation and performance.
- Manages digital certificate administration of all certification authorities and Hardware Security Modules of an industry public key infrastructure.
- Leads troubleshooting and integration best practices; works with cross functional teams to ensure best practice integration solution architecture to ensure deployment of highly scalable performant systems.
- Manages integration tier configuration and ensure compliance; implement and enforce security / standards, regulations and best practices governing company policies.
- Adheres to all Regulatory and Compliance issues linked to the job and the team and understand how these issues help the bank achieve the vision of remaining an independent bank.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in computer science or related field
- Minimum experience required: 10+ Years (5+ years of Cloud experience) in IT Systems Engineering OR 15 years of comparable work experience (5+ years of Cloud experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education level preferred: Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent).
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, ITIL Foundation, or comparable certifications.
- ITIL Foundation or other IT Service Management methodologies
Job Competencies:
- Manages EC2 instances.
- Deploys and maintain static content with Cloudfront.
- Experience with AWS Landing Zone and/or AWS ControlTower.
- Understands how to write and deploy Cloudformation templates within the AWS Service Catalog.
- Coordinates with Flagstar partners to facilitate connectivity to our AWS environment using technologies such as AWS Private link and VPC Peering.
- Works with application developers and provide guidance and assistance to ensure adherence to architecture standards.
- Ability to build, test and deploy Docker images.
- Experience with Maven and Gradle.
- Foundational understanding of Springboot, Angular, J2EE application servers deployed into containers.
- Deep experience with AWS load balancers, S3, Cloudfront.
- Understanding of Apache and NGINX
- Extensive experience with SSL Certificate Management (SSL), both private and public.
- Knowledge of Git, BitBucket, Bamboo, Jenkins and AWS Code Build/Pipeline, AWS Code Commit within the context of provisioning for builds and deployments.
- Experience with Unix shell scripts to perform automation and maintenance tasks (bash, perl, python).
- Proven ability to collaborate with business partners to understand business goals and develop solutions to support changing needs.
- Proven track record of successfully leading medium to large IT infrastructure projects.
- Strong record of successfully completing projects across various computing platforms.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and proven ability to follow up and follow through.
- Proven ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Proven ability to manage one’s time and prioritize work based on risk and critical need.
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to others.

Pay Range
$84,575.25 - $131,704.00
