Position: Business Analyst


NOTE: On-site role in Alpharetta, GA


This position is for a Business Analyst in Starr’s TPA Services organization.  Starr is a World-wide Insurance Company, and utilizes Third Party Administrators to handle claims. 

The TPA Services group manages both internal and external TPAs.

Responsibilities:

-New TPA/Vendor Onboarding

- Establish, monitor, and report on vendor scorecards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure service quality, compliance, and value delivery.

-TPA Loss funding including TPA Escrow Account analysis, prefunding large claims, TPA loss funding bank recons. This includes a qtrly escrow analysis to determine if our level of funding to the TPA is adequate (in Power BI).

-Financial data validation / recons using SQL/Jupyter (running not writing)

-TPA Fines and penalties tracking to ensure TPAs are paying

-TPA coordination of calls

-Working open issues with the TPAs – analysis / follow up, etc.

-Analyze TPA pricing proposals

-TPA Contract management

 

Required Skills:

•Bachelor’s Degree required.
•Experience and/or knowledge in Insurance, or related.
•Strong Interpersonal, Customer Service, Organizational, and Microsoft Office application skills required.  Especially MS Excel.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
•Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
•Strong analytical skills
•Intellectual curiosity and a desire to seek new challenges
•Quick Learner with an excellent memory
